Pre-Production starting on Saturday

We’re about to start recording our pre-production ideas on this Saturday with our friend Dan Brown aka Megaboy Alpha. We’ll be recording about 7 tracks for an upcoming EP. Some songs you’ll recognize, some you won’t know about. We will keep ya posted!

Miars hits a homerun at Olivers…BRAH!

Anyone hear of Fenway Park in Boston?

Well, there’s a great little club behind it called Cask ‘n Flagon, they have a back room called Olivers. On November 6, we bring the rock, the groove, and anything in between to Olivers.

The raging starts at 9pm, we annihilate your domes at 10pm. It’s 21+ because there will be lots of alcohol being served and it’s $10 because it’s Boston and everything is overpriced.

This might be our last Boston show for awhile before we strap down and hit the studio for our upcoming EP. Watching Lost in your dorm room or apartment, does NOT make you cool on a Friday night, just remember that.

We just got word that Kayla (our singer/guitarist) has just won Best Female Vocalist in the 2009 Worcester Magazine Turtle Boy Music Awards!!!

Thank you so much to everyone that took time to vote for us or Kayla, we love you for that.

Miars were runners up for Best New Act, and we lost by 4 votes to our pals in The Dental Plan, so either way, it’s a great thing.

We will be playing the Turtle Boy Music Awards party happening on Thursday, September 24th in the canal district in Worcester. Venue and more info will be coming soon.

2 Shows This Weekend & New song debuting!

We are still cracking away writing new tunes for a new CD. What’s that, you want to hear one of the new creations? Well, please read on…

*** Friday at Church in Boston ***
This Friday (19th), we are rocking Church right behind Fenway. We are joining the bill with some fellow Worcester bands such as Uncle Billy’s Smokehouse, Skullfunked, Sunlea, and Jon Short. It’s $10, 21+. Show starts at 8pm, we go on at 10pm. This is gonna be funky! We are debuting one of our new songs at this show. You need to hear it, trust me.

*** Sunday at Ralph’s Diner in Worcester ***
After you spend time with your pops on Father’s Day, come over to Ralph’s Diner in Worcester for a burger and a beer and celebrate the life of Maura Curtin. We will be playing a special set which includes 1 new song and 2 covers. You really shouldn’t miss this.
21+, 7pm start, we play around 10ish. $7 donation is being asked.

We will be slowly be debuting some of the news at upcoming shows. Also, we are filming some footage and taking photos along the way, so keep an eye out for some ridiculous videos.

May 2nd at The Middle East (downstairs) & Summer plans

Spring is finally here! We have good news and some bad news:

Good news: We are rocking May 2nd at The Middle East Downstairs. Check out the flyer to the right, this show is gonna be insane. Come out and support us for Shred fest, we will have t-shirts for sale too. We play around 10pm, but come early at 9pm.

Bad news: We are no longer playing May 30th at Ralph’s Diner. We had to back out but are focusing on writing some new material for an upcoming EP.

Hey all,
Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop. We are busy writing new music for an upcoming EP we hope to release at some point in 2009. Ed is healing fine with his 3 broken ribs and meds from his accident

We also added some new shows, one includes the Middle East Downstairs on May 2nd. This is huge for us, so please mark it down on your calendars and try to make it out!

Also, we will back at Ralph’s Diner in Worcester on May 30th.

The time has come, we finally have 2 T-Shirt designs! Please head over to our store and check them out. They are printed on American Apparel in Brown and Olive and we have 50 of each design, so get them while they last! $12 for this awesome shirt that will impress your friends…seriously. They will also be available at all our upcoming shows too.

Feb 28th will be the night when Worcester explodes. Well, not really, but we are going to be rockin’ Tammany Hall with our homies in Castine and Gravehaven. This will a night to remember. Show starts at 9:45pm and is $7

We are also writing some new tunes in hopes to enter the studio around April/May to record for an upcoming EP.
